The new year looks to be a busy one once again for the volunteers of WAAGR. In 2007 alone, we helped more than 100 dogs and since the beginning of the group, we have helped more than 200. This year already has been a busy year for us and it will be interesting to see how many dogs we help this year!
We are planning our annual fundraiser events you have come to know and love. Our final big fundraiser of 2008 will be our Holiday House Dec. 6 in Menomonee Falls, Wis. On the horizon in 2009, we will once again have a booth at the Great Lakes Family Pet Expo Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009 at State Fair Park in West Allis, Wis. Watch our Web site for the latest information on our events. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you throughout the rest of 2008. Who We Are
Wisconsin Adopt A Golden Retriever is a 501 (c)(3) non profit corporation in the State of Wisconsin. Our mission is to provide bright new beginnings to displaced golden retrievers. Our service area is Southeast Wisconsin, stretching into the Fox Valley and the Madison area. We took in our first golden retriever on May 4, 2005, and haven't looked back yet! Adopting a friend
If you find a WAAGR dog you would like to adopt, please go to our Web site, www.waagr.org, and fill out an adoption application. One of our volunteers will call you to set up a home visit. Please realize that our rescued goldens are WAAGR's number one priority! This is why a home visit prior to adoption is an important part in the process. Our Web site also embellishes the adoption process.
Come Visit Us!
We are small and local. At the present time all of our foster dogs are kept in private homes. We do not have a kennel facility. Many times we participate in Meet & Greets and dog fairs. The dates are listed on our calendar. We encourage all of our foster homes to bring their dog to these events. We would love to meet you!
