Fox Valley Ferret Shelter
Our Featured Pet...
Since all the ferrets here at FVF are special in their own right, we have found it impossible to feature just one. Please take a look at all our adoptable ferrets.
News
Fox Valley Ferret now has fleece carrier covers available to keep your cat, ferret or other pocket pet nice and warm in their carriers. Although spring seems to be here, cold weather will eventually return and now is the time to get your cover in order to take advantage of the clearance prices on fleece! Contact us for details or visit our table during one of our adoption awareness visits to local pet stores (times and dates listed at www.foxvalleyferret.com).

Who We Are
FVF is a 501(c)-3 NO KILL ferret shelter which has been operating since 2005. We have never turned away a ferret. Ferrets not suitable for adoption because of age, veterinary needs or aggressive biting become permanent shelter residents and are loved and cared for no matter what.
We are supported mainly by donations and all donations are deeply appreciated. Check out our current wish list at www.foxvalleyferret.com
Adopting a friend
Because we are volunteer run, hours are by appointment only.
The adoption process starts with a phone interview to make sure you have a realistic expectation of what sharing your home with a ferret will be like. At the end of the interview, if a ferret is right for you, we will set up a time for a play date where you will spend approx an hour with the available ferret(s) best suited to your home and experience levels. If your perfect ferret(s) are found at the play date, you pay the adoption fee and the process is completed. A follow up call is made 2-4 weeks later to make sure everything is going well.
Adoptions fees will be discussed during the phone interview since FVF offers package deals for senior or hard to place ferrets.
