The Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center is moving to a new location! Mark your calendars, because beginning on Monday, Dec. 19th, will be temporarily closed. HOWEVER, numerous CATS & KITTENS are still available for ADOPTION, so please call or email for a private viewing appointment & check back for updates on our new location grand opening in February 2012!!!

MISSION: It is the mission of The Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center, Inc. to place homeless animals from the Greater Milwaukee Area into loving, permanent homes as well as to provide community outreach programs in order to secure a better future for all companion animals.

ADOPT A CAT: The Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center is located on the upper level in Southridge Mall. The Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from noon-7, Saturdays from noon-4 and Sundays from noon-6 or by appointment.

ADOPT A DOG: All of our adoptable dogs are cared for in volunteer foster homes where they are enjoying life and learning new skills in preparation for their forever homes. Please contact The Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center to set up an appointment with the foster family to meet a specific dog.

DONATE SUPPLIES: The ARC is ALWAYS in need of clay cat litter and postage stamps.

RECYCLE: Drop off inactive cell phones and PDAs as well as ink jet and toner cartridges (empty or full) at The ARC during open hours. We will recycle them and in return receive a monetary donation to assist the animals in our care!

SPARE SOME CHANGE: Visiting The ARC? Don't forget to bring your spare change to deposit into our wishing well! It ALL ADDS UP!

GUINEA PIG AWARENESS & ADOPTION DAYS at The ARC -- rotating weekends this summer (Next small animal adoption day at Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center in partnership with our friends at Humane Animal Welfare Society - HAWS of Waukesha will be August 27th from noon-3pm.) --

Interested in learning more about or possibly adopting a guinea pig? Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center will be hosting the small animal department from the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County featuring their available guinea pigs for adoption. HAWS is experiencing a higher than normal intake rate - we're happy to assist by partnering to promote a guinea pig awareness and adoption event at the Center! CALL or EMAIL us to find out WHEN the next Guinea Pig awareness day will be held.
