Our Featured Pet!

Tanner is a courtesy listing for the Iowa County Humane Society. He has been there for more than 2 years and would love to find his own home! Tanner would prefer to be an only pet, and after waiting this long, he deserves it! You may think that living in a shelter for 2 years might make it a hard transition when going into a home, but many dogs that live in shelters long term do just fine. It's such a relief for them to have a home, so nice to have their own people that they tend to adjust quite quickly. Would you consider giving this boy a chance? For more information, please contact either WIPBR or the Iowa County Humane Society.

News

WIPBR and Chicagoland Bully Breed Rescue are collecting donations to help cover some major medical expenses incurred in the last few months. Not only has Buford's unexpected bills hit us hard, but having Willow and her siblings spending so much time in the hospital with pneumonia, both groups are finding themselves set way back. For anyone that would be interested in making a tax-deductable donation to help with some of the vet bills, please email us for information at: info@cbbr.info Thank you!

Adopting a friend

If you are interested in any animal listed, we must have an application! Please email us for one! We REQUIRE background checks, veterinary checks and pre-adoptive home visits, and we do not adopt animals out to anyone under the age of 18. We will not adopt out an animal to anyone that refuses any of those. Once your application is fully processed, we will contact you to set up a home visit and interview with the dog. *WIPBR reserves the right to decline any application for adoption at any time for any reason. We want our dogs in the best possible home for each dog.

Would you like more information about Pit Bulls?

If you are interested in one of our dogs, but not sure if a pit bull would be a good dog for you, please email us and we will be happy to talk to you more about the breed. There are many, many good books we recommed and we also have our own breed handouts you can get. If you are having behavioral problems with a current dog, we will try to help or refer you to a behavioral trainer in your area!
