News
All fosters have been adopted and no new rescues are being accepted until further notice.
Who We Are
Safehaven Rescue operates as a shelter support group for cats only (no dogs). Cats are taken in specifically from the Marathon County Humane Society when their cages are full and space needs to be made before they need to euthanize. WE DO NOT TAKE CATS IN FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC. Cats are kept in foster care until a forever home is found. Adoption fees are charged to cover the cost of veterinary care incurred by the rescuer/foster home.
Adopting a friend
To adopt one of the cats from Safehaven Rescue contact Vivian Frawley either by phone, e-mail or on one of the viewing dates. An application will be provided to prospective owners which includes information about them along with references so a good match can be made. Interacting with the animal is very important and the prospective owner is invited to interact with the cat as much as possible. Once an application is approved the adoption contract, fees and further procedures will be discussed.
