Puppy LovePuppy Rescue and Adoption"Nobody can fully understand the meaning of love until he's owned a dog. He can show you more honest affection with a flick of his tail than a man can gather through a lifetime of handshakes." ~ unknown |
We are not currently taking in any more pups/dogs at this time. The Humane Society of Waupaca County is nearing completion on their new Adoption Center, and I've been very active in making this dream a reality, especially lately! I need to concentrate on that endeavor for the time being, and see what happens after it's up and running.
MEANWHILE, if you're looking for an animal to adopt in the central Wisconsin area, feel free to email me with your "wish list", and I will be happy to attempt to help you find the pet you are seeking. I have connections with many other rescues and shelters and can probably help point you in the right direction!
These two were both here for many months before finding their perfect homes in late March and early April. They did not get to go home together, but both were adopted out to homes with another dog in residence, so they will both have playmates. I've been assured both will be well-spoiled! I am so grateful!
We believe in doing everything in our power to help control pet overpopulation- and that is why we support and employthe practice of spaying and neutering BEFORE adoption. The veterinarians we use are well-educated and experienced in this procedure, and the recovery time is reduced.

We join many other shelters in a growing (and worthwhile) trend to send home only sterilized animals. In the future, hopefully all shelters will be able to do the same.
