Who We Are

The South Wood County Humane Society's is a community non-profit animal care organization. Our mission is to build a stronger bond between people and their pets through education and adoption with the overall goal of promoting the spaying and neutering of animals to help reduce pet overpopulation.

Adopting a friend

Dog Adoption Information: All dog adoptions include a flea & tick bath; a durmume vaccination for distemper & parvo; a bordatella vaccination; & a de-worming. Adoption Fee: $39.50 *dogs that are not spayed or neutered must have the surgery paid for before the adoption by you. Cat Adoption Information: All cat adoptions include a flea & tick bath; a felo-vax 4 vacccine; & a de-worming. Adoption Fee: $25.00 *cats not spayed or neutered must have the surgery paid for before the adoption by you.

We are located at the corner of Pepper Avenue and 1st Street South in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Our hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: Noon - 5 p.m. Saturday & Sunday: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Closed Wednesdays
