THANK YOU to all that have donated, fostered and adopted! Without people like you these animlas would not be so lucky. You have given the 2nd chance that they deserve. Many people still think that the overpopulation problem will solve itself.......we wish this were true but it is not.
We would also like to give a huge THANK YOU to Dr Greenwood and her entire staff at Coldwater Canyon. Everyone there is so wonderful to our rescue babies we would not be able to do this without them!
We receive our animals that are on "death row" from shelter's that are over full or from very high kill shelters. Believe it or not there are still shelter's out there that use the gas chamber!
We also pull many dogs from local puppy mills. There are always so many in need it is heartbreaking. Our group is also known to take in senior dogs as they seem to be the most disposable these days. We do not turn a dog down for medical reasons. Each animal is a life that deserves a chance. We do not take animals with temperment issues so please do NOT contact us if you need to rehome your "biting" dog.
Once in our care, the animals stay with us until they find their forever home. We DO NOT have kennels, barns or buildings to keep these animals in. Each dog is kept in our home either in a dog bed, couch or human bed. We do crate when needed and treat them as part of the family. We work on potty training immediately. We do not paper train as we do not want a dog to think it is ok to potty in the house.
All animals are vetted prior to adoption. All animals will be spayed/neutered before adoption unless there is a medical reason the surgery can't be done.....they will then be adopted out on a contract where you have a certain time frame to have the surgery performed.
We are currently in need of foster homes and people willing to transport for us. If you think you may be interested please email us for more information on how to help. If you would like to become a temporary foster parent feel free to email for more details.
If you would like to donate specific items we are always in need of :
blankets , towels, bones, collars & leashes and toys for dogs/puppies.
Who We Are
Bullies-N-Friends is a small home based non profit rescue that assists in placing unwanted ENGLISH Bulldogs and Mixed Breeds of all types.
We are NOT A SHELTER.....our animlas are fostered in PRIVATE HOMES and an appointment is required to meet each animal. Please DO NOT call to see what our hours are......we are appointment only. We have foster homes throughout the state so you must call/email to find out where that particular animal is being fostered. You will not be allowed to meet any of our animals until an approved application is on file. Sorry if this is an inconvience however we also want to ensure we are safe and no time is wasted on anyone's part.
All animals are current on vaccinations, hw tested and spayed/neutered before placement. We do not place any animals that will be used for breeding , outdoor or guard purposes. All our animals are treated like our children when in our care. We DO NOT SHIP any animal for any reason. PLEASE DO NOT ASK!
We do update often so please keep checking if you do not see an animal that interests you. If you are looking to adopt a particular animal please contact us and we can put you in contact with that group or put you on a waiting list.
Adopting a friend
If your interested in more information on adoption feel free to email us. PLEASE be sure to read their bio first. Most of the information needed is listed there. If your interested in adoption of an English Bulldog only please visit www.rescuebulldogs.org for an online application and more information on English Bulldog Adoption. The BCA.org is our National website with all the information you would need on what is available and how to adopt.
Please do NOT email me regarding a Bully without visiting the site and filling out an online application. We do require an application/contract with each adoption. We also require vet references for adoption. If you do not have a current vet then we request that you find one prior to adoption. A home visit may also be required in order to be considered. We also ask that you learn all about the English Bulldog traits and medical needs before inquiring. There are many with ear, eye, skin and joint problems. If you are unable to meet the daily needs that a Bully requires then we please ask that you research another breed. Owning a Bulldog can be costly.
