The Washington County Humane Society is a non-profit humane society located in Slinger, Wisconsin. Our mission is to protect animals from suffering and cruelty, to provide care for animals afflicted by neglect and abandonment, and to enhance the lives of animals and people through education, adoption and compassion.
How to Adopt
When you decide you are ready to adopt an animal from us, you must be 18 years of age and we ask that you fill out an application in person. We will check with your landlord, verify your vet records and if you own your home, you will need to bring proof of home ownership. Once you have completed the application, you are required to wait 24 hours which allows WCHS time to verify your information and provides the potential adopter time to be sure they really want to give the animal a permanent and loving home. We will follow-up on the animal to make sure you have followed the terms of the contract you sign and check to see if you have any questions. ADOPTION FEES: (New prices as of Jan 08)
FEE INCLUDES:
WCHS offers the SENIOR PETS FOR SENIOR PEOPLE! This program allows senior citizens (60 years and older) to adopt an animal 5 years and older at a reduced price or no charge at all!
