Saturday, Dec. 19th--we will be at Petco in Wausau, WI, from 2 PM til 4 PM for a meet and greet with our rescue dogs that are up for adoption. Please stop by to see us. It is a 40-page, 7.5x9.5-inch, soft cover book with 35 color illustrations of Shih Tzu involved in a variety of memorable activities, plus two pages of photos featuring adopted dogs (several of them past Shih Tzu adopted from Shih Tzu Rescue of Central WI). There is a page devoted to explaining the importance of rescue organizations and the need to find more homes, to foster and adopt our loving companions. Each book contains a number on the inside back cover. When a book is sold, that number is recorded and sent with a donation of 40% of the selling price to Shih Tzu Rescue of Central WI. Shih Tzu Rescue of Central Wisconsin is an all-volunteer organization, dedicated to saving the lives of abused, abandoned and unwanted Shih Tzu or Shih Tzu mixes. Our organization is based in Central Wisconsin. But we will adopt our rescue Shih Tzu out to homes in IL, MN, IA and MI also. Each and every dog accepted into the program undergoes a physical examination by a veterinarian, is spayed/neutered, brought up to date on shots, heart worm checked, started on monthly heart worm preventative medication, dewormed, and any other medical problems they may have will be treated prior to being adopted. We have no shelter - all of our dogs live in foster homes in the Central Wisconsin area until we find them a home. The adoption fees are based on the age of the Shih Tzu. These fees are used to offset our vet bills and range from $125.00 to $400.00 depending on the age of the Tzu. (please note that we only accept cash, money orders or cashiers checks-NO personal checks) We do not adopt out to families with children under the age of 6 years old. Shih Tzu Rescue of Central WI is in NEED of FOSTER HOMES and/or volunteers who have time and dedication to help fund raise, pick up the Shih Tzu from shelters, check references and do homevisits. You must live in the Central Wisconsin area to be a part of our organization. Serious and dedicated inquiries only and you must stay actively involved. DONATIONS are always needed and appreciated to help us in our rescue efforts.
