Our Pet List

Donate a BedWe have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We still don't have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort, please click here.

Who We Are

Richland Area Rescue helps animals in need in the Richland County area of Wisconsin. Most dogs for adoption are strays or surrenders. We hold them for 7 to 10 days to give their owners a chance to claim them. After this time they are put on this site to be adopted.

Adopting a friend

Adopting an animal is a lifelong commitment. Adopters should be allowed to have an animal at their place of residence, be willing to provide regular veterinary care, and give a loving home.

All dogs will be spayed/neutered. They will be given basic shots and treated for intestinal worms. If the stray/surrender needs to be spayed/neutered, he/she will also receive a rabies shot. As such, the adoption fee is generally $100. At this time, if you require the dog to be tested for heartworm or any other type of test, you will be responsible for these costs.

We are no longer accepting checks without prior approval before you get here. We do accept Paypal.

All puppies are to be altered by 6 months of age. Proof of spay/neuter must be sent back to the shelter or they become the property of RAR.
