Who We Are
The Ferret Nook Shelter/Adoption Center is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization located in a rural setting 18 miles southeast of Madison, WI. The shelter got its start in the fall of 1996. We provide shelter, promote proper care and welfare for the domestic companion ferret and provide education and information to ferret owners, veterinarians, and the general public on these wonderful domestic companion pets.
Adopting a friend
Our Adoption Fees are:
up to 9 months = $100.00
9 months to 2 years = $85.00
2 to 4 years = $75.00
4 years and above = $60.00
A discount is given when adopting multiples. All ferrets are spayed/neutered, current on distemper and rabies vaccinations. We also microchip our ferrets.
If you have ferrets, they are to be brought with you to see if they get along with the ferret(s) you are interested in. There is a 24-hour waiting period before the ferret goes home. Please give us a call to set up an appointment to see the ferrets up for adoption and for directions to our shelter. Before visiting, please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website (www.ferretnook.org), submit it, call to set up an appointment after 48 hours of submission. Thank you.
