Who We Are
Wisconsin Chihuahua Rescue, Inc. is a federally registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our adoption fees are used soley for veterinary care for our foster dogs.
Our group is a shelter support group and we do not accept owner surrenders. We specialize in taking senior and medically challenged dogs from shelters within the state of Wisconsin. Of course, we also help out with youngsters, too! We are a dedicated foster-based group and do not have a facility that houses our dogs. They all live with us as family members until they are rehabilitated and ready for their permanent homes.
Our dogs are vetted tip to tail prior to placement including a spay/neuter, rabies and distemper vaccinations, deworming, heartworm test, microchipped, and any other medically needed care.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption process is in place first and foremost to guarantee the safety and happiness of our foster dogs. Please remember that these dogs came to us for a reason so if we seem a little strict with our procedures, it is for their concern.
You may e-mail us for an adoption form at chigirl1983@gmail.com OR emsmith0421@hotmail.com We will process your application, check your references and schedule a home visit to meet with you and discuss the adoption process. Meet and greets and/or adoptions can be scheduled AFTER the home visit is completed. Adopters are required to sign an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee prior to taking their chosen dog home.

Questions about a dog and our adoption process? Please contact us via email initially. We do not accept phone calls until an application has been submitted and is in process. We are volunteers who work normal jobs and it's much easier to respond to easy questions and initial inquiries by email corespondence. Thanks for your understanding!
