Our pet of the month introduces himself... Hello my name is Simon and I'm a 5 year old black Lab mix. I am a very sweet boy who likes to play ball, go for walks, swim, or just cuddle and be with my people. I am also a social butterfly and like to go visiting so my ideal home would be one that had a securely fenced yard with direct access from the house to keep me safe. I get along well with kids, other dogs, and as far as cats.. well.. I can take them or leave them. Please come see me at the shelter! Notes about Simon: Simon is a great dog, but has acquired 'frequent flyer miles' with the dog catcher because he can be quite the escape artist. All the staff here love him cause he's such a sweet boy who's had some tough breaks in his life. Simon first came to us when he was 12 weeks old back in November of 2003. We would really like to find him a forever home that would keep him safe and happy for the rest of his life.

Who We Are
The Pepin County Humane Society has been in business for close to 30 years. We are a very small shelter with only 5 dog kennels & 9 cat kennels. Because we're so small we are able to get to know the animals that cross our path VERY well. Please ask us about them!
Adopting a Friend
Fees for adoption are as follows:
*DOGS-$116.00 includes Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper
Vax, Heartworm Test, Fecal test, Deworming & ID Tag. Dog license is additional per adopter's county.
*CATS-$96.00 includes Spay/Neuter, Feline Leukemia Test, Fecal test, Rabies and Distemper vaccines & De-worming.
Volunteering and Donations
We run on a very small limited budget so cash donations are always welcome. Volunteers for fundraising projects are needed.
We use Patented Kuranda Dog Beds because
they are durable, chew proof and easy to clean. If you would like
to donate a bed to us, click here.
