Who We Are

We are a county owned animal shelter that services both cats and dogs. We take in stray and surrendered animals.

Adopting a Friend

Our current adoption prices are $60/dog and $45/cat. You must agree to have your pet neutered and you will receive a $25 refund when you provide proof that you have had the animal altered. All animals MUST be altered within 30 days of adoption or by six months of age! If the pet you adopt is already neutered, the adoption cost is reduced by $25, the cost of the neuter deposit.

Volunteering and Donations

Donations are always welcome. We also accept volunteers on a limited basis. Contact us for more information if interested.

Come Visit Us!

We are located at 1103 E. 3rd Street South. Take HWY 27 to Ladysmith, Go east on College Ave (by the AmericInn), go the the 2nd stop sign and turn right on 3rd ST E. Go down to the end, we are by the river.

We are open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30am - 1pm. (After hours appointments can be made if necessary.)
