Our pet of the month introduces herself... This month we would like to highlight the many kittens that in our foster homes and in our shelter. From siamese to calico, shorthaired to long, the variety of kittens needing homes is endless. Many are posted on our website, but because our population changes daily, there are many others not yet posted.

Coming up--
We always have special events coming up at the shelter. Please see our website at
www.lakelandanimalshelter.org for more information.
Announcing our first ever Lakeland Animal Shelter Calendar! The 16 month (September 07 - December 2008) calendar contains 13 full-size photos of animals--animals like Reagan, who was left with his littermates in a shoebox at our front door; Pudge, who was born to a pregnant stray pitbull at the shelter; and Ginger, a friendly lop who was found running stray, defenseless and alone--who were given 2nd chances with the help of our shelter and all of those who support us in our mission. All proceeds from the sales of the calendar will be used to help us make even more 2nd chances possible.

Desperately needed
With our shelter filled to capacity with cats and kittens, we are in desperate need of canned cat food, dry kitten food, and liquid laundry detergent.
Who We Are
We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the abused, neglected, and abandoned animals in Walworth County, Wisconsin. At any time, 40-70 dogs, 200-350 cats and kittens, and a varying assortment of other animals rely on our shelter and/or our foster homes to care for them.
Adopting a Friend
Please see
Spottie's section of our website for complete information on our adoption policies and fees. You can even apply to adopt online!!.
All animals are spayed or neutered, heartworm or feline leukemia/fiv tested, and current on distemper and bordetella vaccinations. Animals listed as "current on vaccinations"are up to date on distemper and bordetella vaccinations. Although many of our dogs are already vaccinated against rabies, this vaccination is not included as part of the standard adoption fee.
