The Fox Terrier Fanciers of Puget Sound Rescue is an expression of our concern for the breed and is intended only as a last resort. FTFPS firmly maintains that it is the bound duty of a breeder to be responsible for all dogs he/she has bred throughout his/her lifetime.
We take Fox Terriers from Western Washington animal shelters. We also take Fox Terriers when their owners can no longer keep them. We screen and educate potential adoptive homes throughout the Pacific Northwest. We work cooperatively with other rescue organizations to ensure the best permanent and loving homes for our
dogs.
ADOPTION POLICIES and GUIDELINES:
1. Adoptive owners must be prepared to demonstrate their ability and willingness to provide proper
food, medical care, and a loving, safe, healthy and clean environment for the adoptive Fox Terrier.
2. No Fox Terrier will be placed in a new home which does not provide a fully fenced yard, except
for apartment dwellers. Whenever possible, we try to conduct a home visit during the application process.
3. Our goal is to place rescued dogs in pet homes. All rescued dogs will be spayed or neutered.
4. All prospective homes must submit an application before consideration is given. Online Application Form
5. All adoptions require a contract.
6. FTFPS Rescue will follow up on all placed dogs to ensure their care and safety.
7. The adoption fee is typically $150 - $250 per dog.
