What's New?

The new bunny barn is still in progress but all the bunnies are now in their new home. The kitchen is all finished and about half of the runs. There is still a lot to do but we all are so happy to be in this incrediable barn that Sue has built.   We are very excited about the progress on the barn!  The new rabbit barn will be complete with a veterinary clinic and surgical facilities, recovery room, 24 new indoor/outdoor rabbit runs, exercise yard, kitchen and storage, and best of all, an old-folks home with both indoor and outdoor access where the older residents can live out their lives in a community setting.

Who We Are

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing abandoned and mistreated rabbits, finding them permanent, loving adoptive homes, and educating the public on the care of these unique and wonderful creatures.

Rabbit Haven was founded in 1986 with the rescue of one special rabbit named Alice whose feet were being sold for $5 apiece. Since Alice came to live with Rabbit Haven founder Sue Brennan, over 1200 rabbits and other small animals have been welcomed through our doors. A few have stayed and become permanent residents, but most call Rabbit Haven home for only a short time before being adopted by loving families.

Adopt A Friend

  • All Rabbit Haven rabbits are spayed or neutered before going to their adoptive homes.
  • The adoption fee is $65, which covers the cost of the spay/neuter and a bit of their daily care. The adoption fee for bonded pairs is $120.
  • All Rabbit Haven rabbits must be provided with a safe, indoor home. INDOOR HOMES ONLY

If you are adopting a companion for your rabbit, bunny dates are encouraged. Bring your rabbit with you and let him/her choose a friend!

If you are interested in adopting one (or two?) of these rabbits, or any of the other rabbits residing at Rabbit Haven, please email us at adoptions@rabbithaven.org or call Angie at (206) 351-2637.
