Description
FCAT is not a shelter. 95% of FCAT’s operation is the Trap, Neuter, and Return (TNR) of feral cats. Sometimes that process brings us kittens. Unlike adult cats who have not received human contact, young kittens can often be socialized with plenty of care and attention from FCAT and/or foster homes. We are committed to finding these kittens loving forever homes. For more information on FCAT and TNR, please visit www.feraltrapping.com.

Adoption Process
Upon approval of an adoption application, kittens will be – if not already – spayed or neutered as soon as possible. No cats will be released to their new homes until they have been altered. The adoption fee is $100 - $150 per cat, by cash or check and includes spay/neuter, initial vaccinations, and other routine treatments (i.e. flea) as necessary. We often have siblings available. Though not a requirement in most cases, we encourage you to at least consider adopting in pairs. The kittens find it especially comforting – and having a built-in playmate often helps them integrate into their new family more easily. *Please note that we use Petfinder names for administrative purposes only, not with the kittens. If you have a different inspiration, we encourage you to follow it!

Location and Hours
FCAT is located in unincorporated King County, between White Center and Burien. Visits are by appointment only, please call or email us to schedule a visit. During peak kitten seasons, we also hold adoption events at various locations in the Seattle area.

Save Washington Pets
Legislation is being proposed for the 2011 session that will help fund tens of thousands of additional spay/neuter surgeries for cats and dogs in our state. FCAT supports this legislation to help prevent animal homelessness and save animals’ lives. Learn more and join us in supporting the bill by visiting www.savewashingtonpets.org.
