The Cat's Meow is a cat adoption center located in Anacortes, Washington. We shelter homeless cats until they are placed in loving, permanent homes.
There are no cages at the Cat's Meow. Cats live in bright, spacious living room areas designed to be comfortable for the cats and the people visiting them.
Adopting a cat from the Cat's Meow is a simple process. If you are interested in a specific cat, it's a good idea to email or call to verify that the cat is still available. If so, we will arrange a time to meet and complete the adoption paperwork.
The adoption fee is $100. All cats and kittens are spayed or neutered and tested for feline leukemia and FIV prior to adoption. The adoption fee also includes: distemper vaccination, deworming, flea treatment, and a free checkup at a local vet.
Adopting a cat from the Cat's Meow is a simple process. We will meet with you at the adoption center to complete some simple paperwork and in most cases you're able to take your new kitty home the same day.
The Cat's Meow guarantees all of our adoptions. We hope that you and your new companion will have a long, happy lifetime together. However, If it's not working out for any reason you may bring the cat back to us at any time.We will refund the adoption fee if the cat is returned within 30 days of the adoption.
We are located at 803 4th Street in downtown Anacortes (at the corner of 4th Street and R Avenue). We are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday and by appointment on other days.
We are happy to meet with you at another time. Just give us a call or email us and we can arrange a time.
Kittens are fun and adorable and they're also a lot of work. When adopting an adult cat you have the advantage of knowing what the cat's personality is.
Most of the cats and kittens admitted to the Cat's Meow are strays. We give admission priority to homeless cats that do not have anyone caring for them.
