Bandit is a 4-year-old Kiger Mustang Gelding. He is 16hh and a gorgeous red dun color. His sire is one of the Kiger Tigers, and his dam was a gray grulla color.
Bandit does not have papers, but if you were willing to do the DNA testing, you may be able to register him with the Kiger Mestona Association.
Bandit is not your typical rescue. He has been with his current family since he was 2 weeks old. The only reason he is being re-homed is that his owner
has other horses to ride, and Bandit got too tall at 16hh for his owner to comfortably ride him out on trails. So, she has decided to offer him to a great home
where he can continue his education and become someone's best friend and partner.
Bandit is broke to ride, but is still green. He will go English or Western. He loves a challenge to figure out, and likes to learn new things. He also has all his basics down -
easy to catch, leads, ties, stands for the farrier, loads in trailers, and will stand for vaccinations and de-worming with just a rope around his neck. He has done Parelli Natural Horsemanship
his whole life. He is Level 2-3 in his ground skills and Level 1-2 in his riding skills. His riding education was mostly at home, but he has been out on the local city streets and was exposed to
leaf blowers, motorcycles, dogs, bicycles, and traffic going by. He has big, smooth gaits, so dressage could possibly be in his future. He would make a lovely show horse!
