Who We Are

We are Fabulous Felines a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a shelter that operates strictly via a foster home system. We no longer operate a physical shelter and can no longer accept cats. The help we can offer you is to list/post your cat on our website and screen inquirers. The adoption fee would go to the shelter org if we are able to adopt your kitty out. We do believe that every cat is a precious life and that he/she deserves a second chance at happiness.

Adopting a friend

The first step in adopting a cat from Fabulous Felines is to download our adoption application which you will fill out, save and email as an attachment to us. Or you can copy and paste a text application directly into an email. The application asks for the name of your current vet (if you currently have pets). I will call the vet for a reference.

If all things check out and if you are approved, we will set up a time for you to visit the cat in its respective foster home. If we find there is a match you will be free to take the cat at that point. You can also expect a personal home visit to be conducted by a shelter volunteer.

All cats adopted from our organization come with a free vet exam coupon and are up to date with vaccinations, all have been tested for felv/fiv and are spayed/neutered.

Adoption fees: Cats:$85 Kittens:$120 Exotic Breeds/Purebreds:$125.

Please provide a regular, plastic carrier for the cat/kitten - they will not be released to go their new home in cardboard carriers.

If you are considering surrendering your cat, please consider the following: February through August is kitten season and shelters are VERY full during that time of year. By you surrendering your cat during that time of year you add to the overcrowding in the shelters and make it that much more difficult for cats to find homes.

It is very helpful for the shelters if you try to find a home for your cat on your own. You should try responsible friends, family and neighbors - remembering to also be very selective. Remember that at one point in your life you took this cat on as your pet and you are now responsible to find it a suitable home.

The older your cat the harder it is for the shelters to place the kitty. Most people (not all - but most) want younger cats. If you have an older cat, you owe it to your cat to see it through its golden years and not abandon it during this time in his/her life.
