****We Need Foster Homes**** Fostering a homeless animal can be an extremely rewarding experience. While fostering involves providing a safe place for an animal to exist while waiting for a forever home, it also takes patience, understanding, and sometimes, sacrifice. A good foster home should be willing to assist in the rehabilitation, training, and nurturing of animals who otherwise might not have a chance to find a home. Please contact IEVS for more information on fostering and to request an application to become a foster home. Thank You!
Who We Are
IEVS is a mobile veterinary service for horses based on South Whidbey Island. IEVS also fosters homeless animals when possible, and coordinates foster care for homeless animals with families/individuals interested in fostering.
Adopting a friend
To adopt an animal, please e-mail islandeq@whidbey.com and request an application for adoption. Applications are reviewed and the best match for an animal's personality and home-life needs is chosen. Filling out an application does not guarantee adoption. Home visits are required and there is usually an adoption fee based on expenses related to the individual animal. The fee never covers the entire cost of having fostered the animal, but is always used to directly replace some of the resources an animal has used. Thank you for considering adopting a rescued animal!
