Did you know that large breed black dogs are the last to get adopted from most shelters and the first to be put down.
REMEMBER!! DON'T BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE! Stop the Tragedy - Please spay or neuter your pets!
Some of our rescued friends
My only crime is I was out of time.........
Every year 6 to 8 million animals enter shelters; sadly only half of them leave alive. In this country an animal is euthanized every 9 seconds in a shelter. All they wanted was a loving home.

Who We Are
11th Hour Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is a small, independant, collective of animals and animal lovers. Founded in 2004, we are a safe haven for animals of all kinds including dogs, llama's, alpacas, and goats. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that would otherwise face a certain death in high kill shelters across the nation.
Our focus is saving dogs that are down to their last hours and in urgent need of rescue. We will take any animal if possible in a dire situation who needs our immediate attention. We also work to provide transport for dogs from high kill shelters to safe havens by working with local no kill shelters, networking with other rescue groups and posting urgent dogs on our site when our foster network is full and advocate for them in finding a forever home.
We are a 100% volunteer based rescue organization which strives to save animals from being euthanized by providing awareness and education of animal overpopulation, unnecessary animal experimentation and to help teach responsible guardianship to pet owners. All donations are used to directly benefit animals who are in urgent need. Every animal that comes to our safe haven is treated as part of our family and are very well socialized and cared for. Basic training (if necessary) is provided for all dogs especially young puppies and those that have been abused, neglected or spent a significant time on the streets or in shelters. We are pleased to have two certified dog trainers on our volunteer staff to assess and work with our newly rescued friends.
If interested in finding out more about any of our available dogs, please email us. We work with several shelters in the Northwest and across the country that are always overcrowded. We also network nationwide with llamas rescue organizations to find permanent homes for our newly rescued llamas and alpacas.
We are always in need of good foster homes for our urgent dogs and llamas. Please email us if you are interested in helping to save a life.
