Thank you for viewing ASHA. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to the health and welfare of animals in Washington state. All cats and kittens can be seen and adopted from one location at Kitty Harbor, Seattle.
ASHA rescues homeless and neglected cats and kittens. ASHA operates with foster homes, volunteers and donations. Donations of supplies, foster homes and funds are always in need and appreciated. We are 501(c)(3) non-profit status so please consider adding us to your tax-deductible donation list.
Adopting
Potential adoptees are screened and must sign a care contract on site. All our cats and kittens are examined upon arrival. They receive vaccines, worming, are deflea, and any other treatment they may need. Kitties over 2 lbs are spay/neutered and tested for FeLV. We recommend that healthy cats and kittens be altered between 3 to 5 months of age, and can be altered as early as 2 lbs. We do not place cats or kittens in homes that practice de-clawing due to the complications and cruelty of this unnecessary procedure. We also do not place litttle kittens as an only pet in a household due to their social developement and welfare. Our rescued cats and kittens are cared for in a clean and loving environment. They can be viewed at :
