If you are interested in being more involved, we need internal assistance in order to expand our programs, and offer more to those in need.
Who We Are
Almost Home All Breed Rescue was created to help save abandoned puppies/dogs and Cats/Kittens from our rural area. So many pups/kittens are dumped up here and left to die, and we couldn't just sit by and watch, so we started a rescue to step in and help, and hopefully one day stop this terrible act entirely.
We also rescue dogs & cats from shelters before they are due to be euthanized.
We occasionly help owners with listing their dogs they are so desperate to rehome, in order to possibly prevent a 'dumping' of that dog.
We currently have room in foster care for up to 10 kittens or ONE pregnant momma. If you need to release your pet, please contact us and arrangements can be made. We do not have room at the time for adult canines, unless they are good with ALL other animals of every shape and size. We have a large waiting list of people waiting for small dogs, and are very happy to assist with their placement.
**Release your puppies/kittens to us and we WILL SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR MALE AND FEMALE**
We educate about the importance of spay/neuter, provide low cost services to those who are low-income, or just refuse to do the procedure unless it is either 'cheap' or 'free'. This is a start at reducing the number of unwanted litters being born every day.
Whenever posssible, we help out low-income families and senior citizens with pet food. We NEED pet food donations to continue doing this!!

Adopting a friend
To adopt a cat/dog from Almost Home, you will need to fill out our appplication, meet with a caseworker, and undergo a home visit prior to approval. ***NOTICE, PLEASE READ!! HOMEOWNERSHIP WILL BE VERIFIED VIA METROSCAN, DO NOT BOTHER TO LIE, YOU WILL BE CAUGHT!!!!***
The adoption fees range in price from $50-$200 for dogs/puppies (typically $125) and $60-$90 for cats/kittens, depending on the amount of care the dog/cat has needed, age, breed, size, etc. There are also contracts that must be signed prior to approval regarding care, food, and other guardianship terms. All cats/kittens are tested for FELV/FIV prior to placement.
All of our pets are altered PRIOR to placement. All pets residing among potential adopters MUST be altered as well. We do NOT allow any declawing of any of our cats/kittens!!
All of our dogd/pups are adopted out as COMPANION animals only, and are not adopted to homes wishing to shun them to the outdoors. Dogs are pack animals, and will only be adopted to homes that will bring them inside and make them a member of the family. NO CHAINS/LEADS OR RUNS ACCEPTED!
