Adoption fee varies for dogs and $75.00 for cats
Paws and Claws is an all volunteer run organization. We have very limited foster homes and cannot take in many animals. We will provide spaying and neutering for rescued animals and help in finding good permanent homes as long as the rescuer is willing to allow the animal to reside with them. As we are all volunteers, our hours vary due to work and family commitments. Please keep in mind, we are a rescue organization, not a shelter. We try and return all phone calls and e-mail messages within 24-48 hours.
All animals are altered before adoption. People adopting must have all of their current domestic animals spayed or neutered.
Cats are adopted strictly indoor only.
We do not adopt animals to families with small children as they bite and scratch the children and thus many are returned. Please consider not adopting a pet until your children are at least 7 years of age. We do not adopt animals for hunting or to have their tailed docked or ears cropped. We retain the right to refuse adoption to anyone where we do not feel the adoption would be in the best interest of the animal.
A secure fenced yard is required to adopt a dog.
An adoption contract, fee and home visit required.
