Description
MEOW is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the health and welfare of cats, kittens, and dogs in the greater Seattle area. MEOW provides safe and comfortable "foster homes" to abandoned or otherwise unwanted animals until permanent homes can be found. Most of the cats and kittens available for adoption are at the shelter. Those interested in adopting can visit them there. All available dogs are in foster homes. Please see each dog's listing for who to contact about that dog. If you do not reside in our area, we strongly encourage you to adopt from your local shelter or rescue group. Many small agencies struggle to place rescued animals, and they need your support.

For adoption policies, volunteer opportunities, a variety of adoption stories, and other information about MEOW, please visit our website
www.meowcatrescue.org.

Donations: MEOW is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization. This means your donation to us is tax deductible. If you wish to support us and the animals we care for, please make your check payable to MEOW and mail it to P. O. Box 58, Kirkland, WA 98083-0058. A tax receipt will be provided if requested. You may also donate via our website or by using PayPal (email address for MEOW is meowcatrescue@hotmail.com). Remember, MEOW is a volunteer-based organization, so your donation directly benefits the animals. We place approximately 1,500 cats and 100 dogs per year. The annual cost of running our shelter and caring for the medical and physical needs of so many animals exceeds $100,000. Be assured your gift will be put to very good use!

Foster Homes
If you have a quiet room in your home that you can keep free from your own pets and would like to be a foster parent for cats/kittens or dogs/puppies please call us at 425-822-MEOW (6369) or email MEOW (for cats) at meowcatrescue@hotmail.com or Kelly (for dogs) at k9wrinkles@aol.com. MEOW provides any necessary medical care and as much educational and emotional support as possible.

During kitten season--roughly April through September--we very much need people with flexible schedules and good hearts to foster and bottle-raise orphaned litters of kittens. Please contact the shelter to arrange a meeting with a senior MEOW volunteer to discuss our foster program and how you can help.
