About Us

Adopting A Friend

If you are interested in adopting a dog please contact us via email or call.  Emails are preferred.  We ask that you provide us with some information about yourself and we send an application via email for you to fill out and return prior to setting an appointment.

We ask $125 for dogs over 4 months old, which includes a new collar in the color of your choice and an engraved pet tag with your phone number on it. Leashes that match the collars are for sale for $8 if you wish.  We ask $140 for puppies 4 months and younger.  This price includes three sets of shots, three worming’s, and spay or neuter.  We do not accept credit or debit cards, checks are accepted, but cash is preferred.   Appointments are available between 11 and 3 during the week and between 11 and 2 on Saturdays.  Later hours, or Sunday appointments, are subject to availability of adoption counselors.  Note we are an all-volunteer organization so our time must be respected.  Once an appointment has been agreed upon, we do hold the dog(s) in question for that appointment.  If you are expecting to adopt only one dog, then only one dog will be held for your appointment.  You are never obligated to adopt any dog, this just insures that the dog you are most interested in will be available for your appointment.  If you already have a dog, we do insist that you bring your dog with you to meet the new perspective dog, this insures that there won’t be a problem with the animals.  Dogs over 4 months of age are spayed and neutered prior to coming to our facility.  Puppies younger than 4 months will be adopted with a neuter or spay guarantee, or a specified refund upon receipt of proof of spay or neuter. The options will be discussed at the time of adoption.  Dogs are up to date on their annual vaccines.  Rabies shots are up to the adopters.
