Kitty Haven cannot accept adult or feral cats. We cannot help trap cats. We focus on kittens four months of age or less.
Mission We are a "No Kill" Rescue. Our kitties stay with us until adopted. We do not euthanize to make space for more. We need responsible humans to adopt our kitties so we can rescue others.
Services We can provide information on bottle feeding and care of kittens, the need for spay/neuter and general kitten issues.
What We Cannot Do We cannot accept ferals or help trap ferals.
We cannot provide medical care for any pets other than Kitty Haven kitties under our immediate care.
We cannot save every kitten. You can help with spay/neuter of your pet and the neighborhood strays.
Hours All kitten meetings and adoptions are conducted at Parkway Veterinary Hospital in Tacoma. Our hours for meetings and adoptions are scheduled during Parkway's Open hours. IF YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TO MEET A KITTEN AND CANNOT MAKE IT AS SCHEDULED, PLEASE LET US KNOW!! It can be traumatic for a kitten to make the trip to the hospital and wait in a kennel all day for you to show up. Our foster parents take time out of their personal schedule to bring the kittens at the time you requested. Please be courteous by contacting us if unable to keep a scheduled meeting time. The kittens and foster homes will certainly appreciate your thoughtfulness. Your donation helps us pay for the FELV/FIV combo test, FVRCP vaccine, ear mite and flea treatment and their spay/neuter surgery performed at five/six months of age at Parkway Veterinary Hospital. If you prefer to use your own veterinarian for the spay/neuter surgery, send us a copy of the spay/neuter certificate and we will reimburse you the cost we currently pay at Parkway Hospital.
All kittens are constantly vet checked while in our care. Kittens are available for adoption only when they reach eight weeks of age, are healthy and social. If the kitten has a chronic medical condition, we provide you with the medical records and the current supply of any medication the kitten is taking. We are a "No Kill" Rescue. Kitty Haven is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to provide foster care to orphaned or abandoned kittens and provide adoption of the kittens into permanent lifelong homes. We advocate spay/neuter to help prevent pet overpopulation.
We take in orphaned and abandoned kittens, provide them with medical care and love and then adopt them into lifelong homes.
We cannot accept adult cats.
