We would like to see a fully fenced yard at least 5-6 feet high.
A crate is an extremely helpful tool.
We prefer to place JRTs in homes with children over 5 or 6 years old.
Placements with cats is not recommended even if the terrier has lived with them before.
Apartments and Condos are not usually a suitable home for JRTs unless there are extenuating circumstances. However, occasionally, we do have JRTs that are good fits for apartments or condos.

We are dedicated to the welfare of the Jack Russell Terrier. JRTs frequently end up with owners that didn't realize they have super high energy, they are an EXTREMELY intelligent breed that can solve any dilemma (i.e. obstacle) in their path, they are tenacious, and they are a hunting dog. This doesn't at all match the picture presented of Eddie living in a high rise Condo getting walked once a day while peacefully hanging out on a couch. Our goal it to find forever homes that fit with JRTs and new owners that value and appreciate the Jack Russell for the dog that it is.
