Well, it's winter time, and that means cold weather for most places. Please remember to be sure that your animals stay warm and buddled up just like you during these cold months!
It is also important that they have fresh water that is not frozen at all times, especially if they are outside animals! That's very important. So remember, have a warm heart and home for the furry ones you love too. If it snows where you are, build a snowman with them!
Who We Are
The Animal Assistance League is a not for profit shelter dedicated to helping pets find homes when they are no longer wanted by their owners. We are a "low-kill" shelter, and animals are only euthanized when very ill or due to behavior problems, i.e. aggression, biting.
Adopting a friend
We are open seven days a week from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Our adoption fees are $100 for dogs and puppies, and $85 for cats and kittens. All of our animals are spayed/neutered before adoption. We require a fenced yard for any dog over 20 pounds, and cats must be indoor only. You must be 21 years of age to adopt, and have identification with proof of age. You must also have proof of current address and social security/driver's licence number. Renters must have written proof from their landlord that they are allowed to have the animal, and a receipt showing that any pet deposit has been paid.
All of our animals have current vaccines, dogs are heartworm tested and cats are feline leukemia/aids tested. You will also receive a pet care kit, a collar for dogs/puppies, and a litterbox for cats/kittens.
