Our pet of the month introduces himself ---Travis. He's a very sweet, energetic, playful neutered male shorthair about 2 years old looking for a person to spend lots of time with him. If you're looking for a personality plus feline who'll be your friend for life, Travis certainly fits that bill!

June is adopt a cat month. We have lots of nice kittens and cats just waiting for a new home! Some have been here for many weeks. Please come in and adopt a nice feline to fill that empty spot in your home. You'll be glad you did!
Who We Are
The Animal Assistance League is a not for profit shelter dedicated to helping pets find homes when they are no longer wanted by their owners. We are a "low-kill" shelter, and animals are only euthanized when very ill or due to behavior problems, i.e. aggression, biting.
Adopting a friend
We are open seven days a week from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Our adoption fees are $125 for dogs and puppies, and $100 for cats and kittens. All of our animals are spayed/neutered before adoption. We require a fenced yard for any dog over 20 pounds, and cats must be indoor only. You must be 21 years of age to adopt, and have identification with proof of age. You must also have proof of current address and social security/driver's licence number. Renters must have written proof from their landlord that they are allowed to have the animal, and a receipt showing that any pet deposit has been paid.
All of our animals have current vaccines, dogs are heartworm tested and cats are feline leukemia/aids tested. You will also receive a pet care kit, and a collar for your new pet.
