The Floyd County Humane Society needs your support. We are a 501c3 tax exempt organization that relies strictly on your donations to help spay/neuter and save the lives of homeless companion animals.
Who We Are
We are a 501c3, tax exempt group of volunteers with the goals of ending the needless euthanasia of healthy, adoptable companion animals through our spay/neuter, foster, and education programs. We do not have a shelter to call our own, but we take all of our foster animals from our local county pound. In working with our county shelter, in a span of 4 years, we have reduced the euthanasia rate from 99% to less than 30%, thanks to the help of our volunteers and Animal Control Officers
Adopting a friend
Adopting an otherwise homeless shelter pet could be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. Shelter animals give unconditional love and by adopting one, you are literally saving a life.
