Healing Hearts needs foster homes for both dogs and horses. If you live in the Northern Virginia area and have room in your home to foster, please contact us. The more foster homes we have, the more lives we can save.
If you don't have the space or time to foster, or the funds to donate, please consider donating supplies, such as dog beds, food, toys, hay for the horses, etc. Any and all donations are welcome and very much appreciated.
We currently have several seniors and have had many medical emergencies that have left us in a financial hole. We depend on donations and adoptions to help fund our regular medical expenses and hope that there is enough left over to fund emergencies. Unfortunately we have had many more emergencies than normal and we are desperate for donations. You can donate directly to our vet (email for their information) or to our PayPal account, email address, firstname.lastname@example.org. Any amount, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated. All donations are tax deductible!
Due our home visit policy, we can only adopt out to the Northern Virginia area.
All dogs over 6 months of age will be spayed/neutered and will have current vaccines, heartworm test and dewormed. Dogs under 6 months will have age appropriate vaccines and will be dewormed.
If interested in one of our animals, please complete our online adoption application at http://www.healingheartsrescuegroup.org/adopt/adoption-application.html
Healing Hearts Animal Rescue Group is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization dedicated to rescuing homeless, abandoned, special needs and senior companion animals from high-kill shelters. We also rescue special needs and senior horses, as well as those who are headed to slaughter, or from owners who are no longer able to care for them. Please note that HHARG does not have a shelter or other physical location. All of our animals are cared for in foster homes.
We serve as a resource to the public and to pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, good nutrition and preventative medical care.
Please note that HHARG does not have a shelter or other physical location. All of our animals are cared for in foster homes.
We hold our adoption events on the second Saturday of each month at Pet Supplies Plus in Centreville. Come by and meet our dogs and wonderful foster parents and volunteers!
