Precious is a white kitten that was brought to our shelter as a teeny tiny little one. Kathy came all the way down from Pennsylvania to adopt Precious. Below is an email we received from Kathy telling us about Precious' adjustment to her new home:
"I have 4 white kitties altogether, and Precious is a little "Vulture!" She absolutely adores human food, and will literally jump into your plate as you as eating to get at the good stuff first! It's hysterical, cause they all crowd around, and do their best to be at the first one at the plate of food, and will playfully growl at the others if they try to get at their food first. She must be the winner alot, cause her belly is starting to get very fat to prove it.! She loves to play with her buddy "Teddy Bear," a little white Persian I have. They chase each other all over the house. Unless they are right near each other, sometimes I have a hard time telling them apart. She will playfully bite at your fingers if you pet her, but then will settle down and lick them to death. She loves to bite your feet when you are sleeping. Her fur is so soft, I call her "my little cotton ball." She had a problem at first with my dog, because my dog is not shy, and wanted to clean her, like she does the others, and she was terrified because my dog is a Golden Retriever and 3 times the size of her, but now she is so cute, and waits her turn with the rest to be groomed. She was a bit nasty at first, and hissed like crazy at the other kitties, but now is doing just fine. We love her so much, and is very much a part of our family."

Our adoption process involves just a few simple steps. We have adoption paperwork to fill out, as well as fees to pay (as listed below). Also, every feline and canine that leaves our shelter via adoption must be spayed or neutered before it can go. This is included in our adoption costs, as well as up-to-date shots! Please keep in mind that when an animal is listed on our PetFinder website, it does not necessarily mean it is available for adoption that day. By law, there is a waiting period that we must abide by, before we can allow an animal to be adopted, as well as the time it takes to spay or neuter the animal. Please contact us for more details about our adoption process or with any other questions!
