Hi Folks, I'm very young at 6 to 8 months of age and all of 11 lbs. I was a stray walking along a rural VA road when a kind lady picked me up and brought me to my foster home. No one has asked for me and that makes me a little sad but I'm feeling much better now that I'm safe here. My name is Skeechers now and I've been fully vetted. I am very very playful, very friendly and seem to like kids too. I love my toys and even have a favorite place to stash them. I get along with other dogs too but am not too sure about cats. I will need some work on housebreaking as well as leash training. Since I am a young energetic happy smart pup I need to learn some commands and if I go to obedience class I'll learn them more quicklly. I need a home where there is someone in charge of all these things and where they will be consistent with me. I would love a lap to cuddle on in the evening. Please consider me for your family!

Noodle was found as a stray in a local county. She was sitting on a back of trash, as if someone had just left her there and she was waiting for them to return. The Animal Control officer took her to the shelter but she had so much matted fur they couldn't tell a lot about her. When they had her shaved down, she lost half her weight - 8 lbs.! - in fur and mats! She's now feeling so much better, and is in a wonderful foster home waiting for her forever home. We are requiring that her new home have a fenced yard, as she is quick on her feet and will likely flee if she is allowed to run loose. She seems to be a bit high-energy, but that could be a "symptom" of losing all that extra weight in matted fur. She's been spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, has been treated for parasites and is on preventive and has been microchipped. To see Noodle's new look, please go to our adoptable animals listing.
Fuzzy Face Rescue is a non-profit organization comprised of a small group of volunteers . We are not a shelter and do not have a facility. Animals in our care are placed in foster homes where they receive medical attention and lots of love until they are adopted. We assist the community with re-homing their pets as well as finding the perfect pet for those wishing to provide a permanent home for an unwanted animal. We also assist shelters and rescue groups, both near and far, when they are overwhelmed and need help finding places for their animals. We support shelters and frustrated families by being a resource for training, veterinary help or rescue contacts. We feel that spay/neuter is the only way to solve the pet-overpopulation problem, and promote pet alterations everywhere we go.
Our goal is to help our communities' residents and our adopters be the best humane beings they can be by providing: compassionate temporary home care; healthy adoptable animals; information, understanding and education; spay and neuter information and programs.
We rely primarily on donations to fund our work. All donations are tax-exempt! If you would like to donate to FFRNN, please click the button above. You can also help by shopping through IGive.com as a percentage of what your spend when you shop online will benefit us! Just click on the link below to get started.
Please contact us for an adoption application. Our adoption fee is $300. All of our pets are spayed or neutered before adoption unless they are too young, in which case a neuter agreement will need to be signed by the adopter along with the adoption contract.
Since we have no facility, we require that potential adopters have an approved application before meeting our pets. Please contact us to set up an appointment for a meeting once your application has been approved.
