Tuesday - Friday 12:00pm - 4:00pm, Saturday from 10:00am - 12:00pm. Closed on Monday and all holidays.

Shelter Volunteer Meeting
We would like to welcome people to the monthly volunteers meeting held at the Public Safety office at 1488 Franklin Street, Rocky Mount, VA on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00pm.
Foster Family's Needed
The Shelter is seeking Foster Family's for shelter cats and dogs. For more information please contact Pat Muncy at Info@rvhr.com . Must live in Franklin County.
Who We Are
Franklin County Animal Shelter is a municipal shelter. Our employee and volunteers work diligently to save the lives of adoptable animals who come in as strays and are never reclaimed or have been abandoned, and we rely on you to adopt from our shelter to save lives.
Adopting a friend
The adoption fee is $10.00. All pets go out on a spay/neuter contract and must be altered within 30 days of adoption. Franklin County Animal Shelter can only make direct adoptions to residents of Franklin County or adjacent counties.
Out of area residents contact Franklin County Human Society at donna@plannedpethoodrockymount.com Or Angles of Assisi at ldooley@angelsofassisi.org. They will be happy to work with you to make one of FCAS pets yours.

The shelter is located approximately 4 miles south of Rocky Mount, VA on the north side of Route 220 adjacent to the Landfill and LARC Field.
