The SPCA of Martinsville Henry County was formed in the early 70s by a group of caring and concerned citizens. The opening of our shelter in 1992 represented a quantum leap in our ability to provide services for the community. In 2007 we moved into our beautiful new facility located at 132 Joseph Martin Highway, right off 220 South/Business in Martinsville.
Our Mission Statement:
Adoption Process:
Humane societies do not sell pets; they adopt them.
You must be at least eighteen years of age to sign the adoption contract. This is a legally binding document that requires you to provide certain and specific conditions for the animal that you adopt.
All adoption criteria are designed for the safety and welfare of the animals. These guidelines are standard practice for animal shelters across the country and are mandated by the SPCA Board of Directors.
Adoption Fees:
Please note: The SPCA reserves the right to refuse adoption if application guidelines are not met or if the pet is not appropriate for the applicant.
132 Joseph Martin Highway, Martinsville, Business 220 South near K-Mart. We are less than two miles from the Martinsville Speedway.
