Who We Are

Cat's Cradle of Greater Richmond, Inc. rescues cats and kittens primarily from the Richmond City Pound where the need is so great, so persistent, and so desperate. Pound rescue is our focus but we are dedicated to bringing all cats and kittens to safety ... to a nurturing place where they can finally say, "We're safe now."

Our Mission Statement Cat's Cradle of Greater Richmond is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit volunteer organization founded in 2005 and committed to rescuing cats and kittens regardless of appearance, age, or medical condition, from euthanizing shelters and abusive or neglectful situations. Cat's Cradle of Greater Richmond, Inc. provides spay and neuter and all other necessary veterinary care, and furnishes comfortable, attentive housing until each cat and kitten is adopted into a permanent, loving home. Cat's Cradle of Greater Richmond is supportive of all animal advocacy organizations and all efforts to reduce animal cruelty in any form.

Cat and kitten Adoptions at our center take place on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Special appointments during the week can be made by calling one of our several numbers posted on the condos at the adoption center.

Our adoption fee is $90 which includes sterilization, testing for FIV and FLV, all age appropriate shots, a cardboard carrier to transport your new friend home, a special cat toy, coupons from PETsMART and a free visit to one of our participating veterinarians within 5 days of the adoption.
