Please come to see us at the new Petsmart off of Exit 7 in Bristol, VA. This is a new and exciting opportunity for us to showcase the many wonderful, loving animals that are in need of good homes. An ADL representative is on-site most weekends along with several of our animals available for adoption. We hope to see you there!
Who We Are
The ADL is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is operated by volunteers. The mission statement as establish in the by-laws:
- Prevention of cruelty to all animals
- Relief of suffering among animals
- Extension of humane education.
The ADL is a non-sheltering organization that utilizes foster homes and assists in finding new homes for those unable to keep their pets.
Our main objective is to raise awareness of pet overpopulation and highly encourage and assist in providing spay/neuter surgeries to the animals in our region.
Adopting a friend
To ensure that this adoption is in the best interest of both you and this pet, the ADL asks that you complete an Adoption Questionnaire and, upon approval, the Pet Adoption Agreement. Adoption fees are $85 for one or $140 for a pair and include spay or neuter surgery and one set of vaccinations, defleaing and deworming. All cats are tested for Felv/FIV and dogs are tested for heartworms. Please contact us if you would like more information or would like to receive adoption forms.
