TCAS is a nonprofit organization. We are a County agency. All of our donations are tax deductible.

Adopting a friend
When adopting from our shelter a contract of adoption must be signed agreeing to have the animal spayed or neutered. And a one year rabies shot. Our required adoption fee is $25.00 for our dogs. We no longer charge for our cat adoptions. However you are still required to have the animal sterilized. We can only adopt an unsterilized animal to Tazewell or surrounding counties. An animal already sterilized can be adopted to any area. We are happy to work with any legitimate rescue groups.

We are located in the Springville area of Tazewell County. We are on Route 649 Lynn Hollow Road. Next door to the Tazewell County Landfill.
