Because we don't have room for all those needing new homes, we assist those who want to responsibly re-home their dogs and will keep them until a new home can be found rather than put them in an animal shelter.

Who we are
Siberian Husky Assist is a NEW rescue in S.W. Virginia - N.E. Tennessee area as of November 2003. We started small and started with NO money in the pot, but with Prayer and Faith. We have grown since then and now cover SW VA from Lee County to Roanoke and also NE TN from Hawkins County to the Great Smoky Mountains. We are in desperate need of foster homes. We are 501(c)3 non profit so your donations are tax deductible. We are working on a Siberian Husky Sanctuary and also an education center/sled dog training facility. Adopting a friend
THE ADOPTION FEE IS: UPDATE ADOPTION FEE IS ONLY $125.00 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. $150.00 which helps cover medical costs, food and shelter for all of our rescues. Each rescue is spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested, wormed and on heartworm preventative. You also get the added benefit of knowing that each dog has been temperament tested and has been living with a foster family so that we know a good deal about their personality and likes/dislikes before you get them. There is NO charge for any training we are able to do with the dog while in our care. We want this to be a great dog for an even greater knowledgable FOREVER family. Because of their joyful demeanor, friendliness, and striking appearance, they continue to GROW in popularity. It MUST BE EMPHASIZED however, that this breed makes rather high DEMANDS on its owners when it comes to general maintenance and creative activities for this energetic and not easliy trained beauty. THE TYPICAL HUSKY IS ENDING UP IN SHELTERS MORE AND MORE. PLEASE READ ABOUT THIS BREED BEFORE YOU GET ONE ! A husky is NOT for everyone!!
