All dogs and cats 4 months of age and older, are required to have a current rabies vaccination. All dogs must also be licensed yearly, by February 1st.
Who We Are
We are owned and operated by Dinwiddie County. Sandy Hawkins, Mary Ellison, Debbie Dean or Kelly Hart are available for adoptions and the care of the animals. Visit Dinwiddie's web site at www.dinwiddieva.us
Adopting a friend
All animals adopted from our shelter must be spayed or neutered. The adoption fee is $75.00 for dogs and $45.00 for cats. The fee includes; sterilization, worming, first shot and adoption fee.

Take I-85 south to 460 west exit, turn left on Courthouse Rd. (627), go 2 1/2 miles to Wheelers Pond Rd. and bare right, go 1 mile on left to Landfill and Shelter.
