The Clarke County Humane Foundation is paying for animals ADOPTED from the Clarke County Animal Shelter to Clarke County residents to be altered and assisting with the cost of the altering of pets adopted from here to adjoining counties. They also help pay for emergency surgeries and needed vet care for the animals living at the animal shelter. Please be a sponsor and donate to the Clarke County Humane Foundation. Thank you.

The shelter will be closed on Monday, February 20, 2012 for President's Day. we will re-open Tuesday February 21, 2012.
Adoption Fees:
Effective Immediately: Are adoption fees have increased to $25.00 for all animals adopted from our shelter.
We only except CHECKS or MONEY ORDERS.
Adopted animals old enough to be altered CAN NOT go home until they have been altered. The animals will be altered at the earliest convenience, after completion of the adoption contract. The Clarke County Humane foundation will pay 0% to 100% of this expense depending on where the adopter lives. The adopter will have to pay the remaining cost of the spay / neuter bill at the time of adoption. Adopted pets are NOT allowed to be gifts for another person or given away to another person / party.
