Who We Are
Blue Ridge Doberman Rescue is an all volunteer organization situated in Northern Virginia committed to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of dobermans in need. A major part of our commitment is to educate the public about the the care and characteristics of dobermans, and refer to appropriate sources for help if further assistance is required.
When re-homing is requested, a dog will not be adopted to a new home until it is tested clear of heartworms, spayed or neutered, and vaccinated for rabies and distemper. A thorough screening process of applicants is necessary in an attempt to match the most appropriate prospective home for each individual dog. If we do not have a dog that will match your household at this time, we will gladly refer you to other rescue organizations in the immediate area who may have the right dog for you. Post-adoption help is also available for any transitional difficulties that may occur.
