RAWL, the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League, is a local non-profit organization located in beautiful Rappahannock County Virginia. Our mission is to find a loving home for every unwanted and abandoned dog that comes to our "no kill" shelter. RAWL believes that no animal should be homeless. Our goal is a world where there are no unwanted pets. This is possible through a continuing spay/neuter program and loving people like you to adopt these wonderful animals.
Adopting a friend
Come see us at the Gainesville PetSmart! Adoption days have been postponed until the weather gets warmer.
We hope to resume in March/April.
Please call us in advance if you wish to see a specific dog!
All potential adopters must fill out an adoption application. The RAWL adoption fee is $175. Each RAWL dog is up to date on all shots and is altered before adoption. RAWL does maintain a 30 day money back trial. If after 30 days the owner can no longer care for the dog, that dog must be returned to RAWL.
RAWL will adopt to most US states with a vet reference and home check. Please contact us if you are unsure that you are in our adoption area.
