Westie Rescue helps over 150 Westies each year find new homes like yours. Our Website is currently experiencing some software issues. If you are interested in adopting please send an email to "Mid-Atlantic Adoption" stating you want the application to be sent by email to you. This option will have the application to be EMAILED to you. Please complete the adoption application and email it back to us to be eligible to adopt these sweet Westies.
NOTE: ALL DOGS ARE PLACED WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE SUBMITTED THE ADOPTION APPLICATION . Adoption candidates will be contacted about a specific Westie when a dog is received which fits the pet profile the applicant specified in their application.
Most of our rescues are quickly adopted (by people who have already registered) before we have time to post them here.
Westie Reacue Mid-Atlantic requires a home visit prior to adoption. If you are not in the Mid-Atlantic area, your application will be sent to the region where you reside so Westie Rescue individuals and organizations in your area will be aware of your desire to adopt a dog.
If you know of SOMEONE WHO NEEDS HELP WITH A WESTIE or a WESTIE WHO NEEDS A NEW HOME, please contact us on their behalf by filling out the "Dog in Trouble Report" form on our web site. (Only for use when dogs need help...not for adoption information!).
Please provide a means of reaching the person or shelter (such as a phone number) with the Westie.

Westie Rescue Mid-Atlantic is an all volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization which is funded by donations from the public. Westies are fostered in private homes during rehabilitation or until adoption.
All dogs are required to be spayed or neutered before placement. A donation to cover program expenses is required at the time of adoption.

You can submit an adoption application in three ways:
Volunteers and donations are always welcome and needed.
If you would like to help us with rescued dogs or with other rescue activities [events, fund raising, administrative work, etc.], please fill out the "Mid-Atlantic Volunteer Form". If you have trouble finding or filling out the form, please click on "Web Questions?" to send an email for help.
The more caring people who are actively involved, the less chance that Westies in need will fail to be helped by the rescue system in the US and be euthanized by owners or in shelters.
Just as all other rescues and shelters always desparately need donations, Westie Rescue also appreciates every contribution made to keep our rescue program going.
Donations are used ONLY as necessary to ensure that Westies are rescued, rehabilitated, and adopted.
We are an IRS approved 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable group. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
