Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels. I felt her need instantly and knew I had to help her. I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she wouldn't be afraid.
As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the back of my cage. I didn't want her to know that I hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the shelter keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them.
As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in someone's life.
She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her. Gentle fingertips caressed my neck; she was desperate for companionship.
A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well. Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms. I would promise to keep her safe. I would promise to always be by her side. I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes. I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many more are out there who haven't walked the corridors. So many more to be saved. At least I could save one.
We deeply apologize and regret to inform the publc, you as our loving and caring support but we are at this time unable to accept cats at this facility until we are able to either get some loving fosters families or build a place to house them. We are deeply sorry and have tried to do our best but we will need help to build this area for the cats that we get so many calls on, on a daily basis..
We need your help in order to help them..
We are in the process of making many wonderful changes within our organization. We hope that you will all be patient with us as we make this an even better animal organization and sanctuary for all of our rescued Friends that are In Need..
Thank you so much for your kindness, patience and your understanding..

Companion Turnovers
Please be aware we rarely have room to take in any dogs at our home based facility as we always seem to be full due to the small amount of dogs we are allowed to have on our property at any given time until a building can be constructed. If you absolutely need to have your dog placed we would be more than happy to assist you in every way possible but you will need to foster your dog until we are able to find the best possible home for him/her. Because we have an application that needs to be filled out and also do home inspections on every dog we place it may take a little longer but the outcome is usually worth the wait. We want to make sure s/he will have the best care possible at their new home. We also ask for a small turnover fee to help with vaccinations, implanting microchips and spays and neuters. We do not accept cats here at this time as we are not set up to facilitate them. We apologize and are working on this situation.
F.I.N is working on a new (Adoptoin/Rescue) Center in Eagle Mountain, Utah. We are a 501c3 Non-Profit organization so your donations are tax deductable
and very much needed to help us build our Rescue Center and to care for their general and medical care needs.
Who We Are
Friends-In-Need Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization and DOES NOT rescive money from government grants. We rely soley on those donations given to us by those that love and care for all of those animals in need. Formed to help
fight the battle of the over population of our companion friends
and to aide in the education for care,
training, treatment, spay and neuter of these companions.
Then to finally put an end to the euthanising of healthy loving
companions that could have had the opportunity of a loving home.
We work with shelters and other rescue organizations in
order to save the abused, abandoned and neglected companion
animals that have been tossed as nothing but a commodity.
We offer trained foster and care center's for these animals
until they are carefully placed into permanent, healthy, loving
and safe home's.
We promote spaying and neutering and offer assistance for
information on low cost Veternarians. We will also offer assistance
in discount training and assist with behavioral problems to try
and make any transitions for our companions as well as their
families as easy as possible and to assure a permanent and
happy home.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption procedures are strict, this is for the security of our companion animals. We do not adopt "on the spot " and we always do follow
up checks. All of our companions are rescues. F.I.N. tries to stay away from owner turnovers and work mainly with rescues from high kill shelters but will do what ever we can to try and help you keep your companion with your family.
