NEW HOURS! The shelter is now open every Saturday from 10am-2pm. We also have extended hours on Mondays and Thursdays, 11am-7pm. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays we are still open 9:30am-5pm.
As of January 1, 2006 the shelter will have new management and employees. Fees and shelter procedures will change. The Utah County Fix will no longer be located at the shelter, they will have their own facility elsewhere in the County. The Big Fix is a mobile spay and neuter clinic that tours Utah and does low cost spaying and neutering. For information on their schedule and pricing, and information on participating vets with low cost spay/neuter, please go to www.utahpets.org. Thank you!
If you are interested in donating items to the shelter, the things that are most helpful are blankets and towels, carpet remnants, grooming supplies, kitten and puppy milk replacer and bottles, food and water dishes, litter pans, cat and dog toys, adult dog/cat food, and puppy and kitten food(canned and dry). Thank you!
Our Featured Pet...
This sweetie is Baby Doll! She is a gorgeous little mixed pup, mostly a white/cream color, with some light tan spots. We believe she may be a Heeler/Pit Bull puppy mix, but we aren't sure. Whatever breed, she is very sweet, outgoing and playful, smart, and ready for a new home today! Please come in to the shelter and adopt this great little girl!
Who We Are
We are the South Utah Valley Animal Shelter, located in North Spanish Fork, and serve the City of Provo and all the Cities South of Provo. If you are missing an animal please visit the shelter during hours of operation to redeem your pet. Please do not leave a message, but come in and see if your pet is here. We keep strays 3-5 days and then put the animal up for adoption.
The City of Orem and all Cities North of Orem are serviced by the new North Ut. Valley Animal Shelter, located at 193 N. and 2000 W. in Lindon. Their phone number is (801)785-3442.
Adopting a friend
Adoptions are by application only. All animals are adopted out on a mandatory spay or neuter contract/voucher. The surgery is paid for by you at the time of adoption. This is a service provided by the veterinarian and is not refundable if the animal is returned. All adoptions include the spay or neuter, vaccinations, microchip, license, de-worm, a free month of pet health insurance offered by Shelter Care, and a doggie/kittie gift bag!
