Our Pet List

Our Featured Pet...

Musa is a 10 year old spayed female cat. She is all black with a little white on her belly. Musa came in when her owners moved out of the country and didn't want to put her through the quarantine requirements. She is a little reserved and we're not sure if she gets along with other cats. She would probably do best as an only cat. For such an old cat, Musa is still pretty spry. She can still leap on cupboards and shelves in our office. She loves a soft chair or lap to lay on. Musa still has a few good years left to bring love and comfort to that special person who can find it in their heart to rescue an old cat. Puppies and kittens are cute, but shelters are full of them. So please --- SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR PET. A lot of people have superstitions about black cats and dogs. However, they make very good pets.

About us

Cedar City Animal Shelter is a small municipal facility. There are two full-time animal control officers and two part-time staff. The office is open Monday by appointment only, Tuesday thru Friday from 8 AM to 2 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM. It is a high-kill facility due to high volume and lack of space. Adoptable animals are kept as long as space permits.

Adopting a friend

Our adoption fees are $10 for cats and $25 for dogs. We also charge a refundable sterilization deposit of $25 for all intact animals adopted.
